1. Service Description

CertWatch provides SSL/TLS certificate monitoring services. We monitor your specified domains for certificate expiration, configuration issues, and security concerns, and send you alerts through your configured notification channels.

2. Account Terms

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.
  • One person or organization may not maintain more than one free account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Use the service to monitor domains you do not own or have authorization to monitor
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the service
  • Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

4. Beta Service Disclaimer

CertWatch is currently in beta. During this period, the service is provided "as is" without any guarantees or warranties.

  • Features may change, be added, or removed without notice
  • Service availability is not guaranteed (no SLA)
  • Data may be lost during system updates or migrations
  • We recommend maintaining your own backup monitoring solutions during beta

5. Service Availability

While we strive to maintain high availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

6. Payment Terms

For paid plans:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
  • Failure to pay may result in account suspension

7. Intellectual Property

The service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by CertWatch and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertWatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages resulting from certificate expiration or security incidents
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CertWatch and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the service will immediately cease
  • We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
